Improved Safety signs for Food Processing

To help your employees better understand how to wear personal protective equipment properly, IDEA is developing improved Food Safety signs and posters which explain how to use the personal protective equipment in food processing industry businesses and restaurants. A first series of food processing signage has been developed in two different styles. The improved food safety signage shows protective clothes that must be worn, in a different colour. In this way it is immediately clear what PPE to wear in a certain food processing area. Below the food safety symbols, an ‘how to wear’, ‘how to put on’ or ‘how to do’ explanation is given in clear illustrations and/or pictograms, without text. Therefore the food safety signs create better understanding, regardless of the language that your employees speak. IDEA is also developing combination signs, in which the use of specific or different types of PPE that must be worn in food processing areas is combined. With these signs only one or a few signs are needed to explain what to wear, instead of a whole wall full of different signs. In this way an employee can see at a glance what he should wear and how to wear it.
